Does this come with a mattress?
No — the frame is sold on its own so you can pick the mattress that suits you. It takes any standard UK mattress in the size you order. We sell hybrid and pocket-sprung mattresses in matching sizes if you need one.
Do I have to build it myself?
Yes. The frame arrives flat-packed with all the fixings, the tool and step-by-step instructions. Most people manage it in an hour or two. It is much easier with a second pair of hands for lifting the headboard into place.
How does the storage work?
The base lifts on hydraulic gas struts and holds itself open, giving you the full footprint under the bed. Clear the bed before you lift it, and lower it with a hand on the frame rather than letting it drop.
Do I need a separate bed base?
No. The slats are built into the frame, so the mattress sits straight onto them.
Can I return it if it is wrong?
Yes — within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Please keep the packaging until you are sure, as it needs to go back boxed.
