Cookie Policy

Last reviewed: 1 September 2026

This policy explains what cookies we use on comfortcrest.co.uk, what they do, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember things — what's in your basket, whether you're logged in, which pages you've seen. We also use similar technologies such as pixels and local storage; where we say "cookies" below, we mean all of them.

2. The categories we use

Category What it does Needs consent?
Strictly necessary Keeps your basket working, processes checkout securely, remembers your cookie choices, protects against fraud. The site cannot function without these. No — exempt under PECR
Functional Remembers preferences such as recently viewed products, so the site feels less repetitive. Yes
Analytics Tells us how many people visit, which pages they read and where they drop off, so we can improve the shop. Yes
Marketing Measures which adverts led to a sale, and allows relevant adverts to be shown to you on other sites. Yes

3. Who sets them

Some cookies are set by us. Others are set by the services we use to run the shop:

  • Shopify — our store platform. Sets the strictly necessary cookies that make the basket and checkout work.
  •
  • Payment providers[[ e.g. SHOPIFY PAYMENTS, PAYPAL, KLARNA ]], for secure payment and fraud prevention.
  •
  • Analytics[[ e.g. GOOGLE ANALYTICS 4 ]], to understand site usage.
  •
  • Advertising[[ e.g. GOOGLE ADS, META PIXEL ]], to measure advertising performance.
  •
  • Email marketing[[ e.g. KLAVIYO ]], if you've subscribed.

These providers set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. We've listed them so you know who is involved.

4. Your choices

When you first visit, our cookie banner asks which categories you're happy with. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is set until you choose. You can change your mind at any time by [[ DESCRIBE HOW — e.g. "clicking Cookie Settings in the footer" ]].

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the basket and checkout working.

Browser Where to look
Chrome Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
Safari Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security
Firefox Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
Edge Settings → Cookies and site permissions

5. How long they last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them — typically between 30 days and 2 years depending on the cookie. Analytics cookies on this site expire after no more than 26 months.

6. Legal basis

We use cookies in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR. Non-essential cookies are set only with your consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting your ability to use the site.

7. Questions

Email azixparz@outlook.com and we'll answer. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
