Measure this first
Counter, island or bar — the height that matters is yours
Bar stools are returned more often for the wrong height than for anything else. Measure from the floor to the underside of your worktop, then leave 25 to 30 cm between that and the top of the seat, so there is room for your legs. These stools adjust, but they adjust within a range — check the range in the description covers your number before you order.

Is the price for one stool or two?
Two. Every set on this page is sold as a pair, and the price shown is for both.
What height do I need?
Measure floor to the underside of your worktop, then subtract 25 to 30 cm — that is your seat height. A standard UK kitchen counter is about 90 cm, which suits a seat around 60 to 65 cm. A raised bar or island at 100 to 110 cm needs a seat nearer 75 cm. The adjustment range for these stools is in the description.
How much weight will they take?
The maximum user weight is in the description. The gas lift and base are tested to that figure, so do not exceed it and do not stand on the seat.
Will they scratch my floor?
The bases have protective pads fitted. On a wooden or vinyl floor, check the pads occasionally and replace them when they wear — grit caught under a pad is what marks a floor, not the stool.
How much assembly?
The seat bolts to the base with the tool in the box. Ten minutes for the pair.
Can I return them?
Yes, within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, boxed as they arrived.
